Schmetz Needles – Quilting
Quilting Needles are designed specially to taper to a slightly rounded point – this prevents damage to materials even when penetrating thick and multiple layers as encountered with quilting (i.e. fabric-wadding-fabric).

To help brace against the extra wadded layers Quilting Needles are also made stronger to dramatically reduce the risk of a broken needle of skip stitch.
